Please note the NAMM Summer Session is a trade
only convention and is NOT open to the
general public. NAMM International continues it’s quest to find the ‘World’s Fastest Drummer’. This highly charged Interactive Event is a feature at this year’s Summer NAMM Show in Indianapolis, IN. The contest which consists of two categories, Battle of the Hands and Battle of the Feet will be held each day at The NAMM Fastest Drummer Stage, Booth #50 at The Indiana Convention Center starting at 11:00am Friday, July 22nd, with “heats” continuing through Saturday until 5.00pm. The top ten Fastest Hands and top ten Fastest Feet will compete in a ‘Finals Battle’ of both categories held Sunday, July 24th at The NAMM Fastest Drummer Stage, Booth #50. The NAMM International Fastest Drummer Contest is the Ultimate Event for ‘Xtreme Drummers’ from around the World. The WFD has seen such ‘Xtreme Drummers’ ranging from Travis Barker of Blink 182 to Lenny Kravitz's Zoro. Even ‘WEEMAN’ of JACKASS THE MOVIE and BMX Champ, Rick Thorne, have competed.” John Blackwell of Prince says, “I’ve always had the imagination of drumming being something like a sporting event. Almost like boxing!” While Jethro Tull's Doane Perry explains, “Interesting, to see it when you take it to this almost ‘athletic extreme’.”
Also appearing will be Miss WFD Indy 2005 Search Winners, Tanah Combs and Shea Combs.

year’s Finals event will be hosted and feature a performance by
Mike Mangini and will
feature technical demonstrations, insight sessions and appearances by
WFD Champions and World Record Holders. “To see these guys
with World Records of 1,203 strokes in a minute go at it, full throttle,
smooth as silk with their hands and feet moving over 20 times per second
for a full 60 second run is simply an amazing work of technical
proficiency.” Says Boo McAfee, co-founder of Extreme Sport
